WIRELESS CONNECTION

WTX-100 TRANSMITTER

WRX-100 RECEIVER

The DAN WTX-100 and WRX-100 series of Wireless Transmitters and Receivers are designed for a wide range of applications in process variable measurement and data transfer. When distance between the probe and the logging unit, or site conditions make hard wiring difficult or impractical DAN wireless connections offer a unique and convenient solution. Typically the range between a transmitter and receiver can be up to 2 kilometers depending upon the terrain and the obstructions and the antennas used at each end. With the use of selected antennas, the range may in some cases be extended to 10 kilometers.

The WTX-100 Transmitter is housed in a non obtrusive IP65 rated length of PVC pipe. Each transmitter contains a ¼ wave whip antenna as standard with the capability to transmit three process signals plus its own battery condition. There are three process inputs to the transmitter being one analogue, one RTD and one counter.

The analogue input is switch selectable to suite most industrial grade probes. The transmitter is powered by four ‘C’ size batteries which subject to the transmission frequency selected will power the transmitter for up to two years.

On board LED’s make pairing with the receiver and setting up your wireless system simple. Numerous options are selectable on the transmitter so that its operation can be tailored to your requirements.

The WRX-100 Receiver is housed in a clear covered IP65 housing. The receiver is fitted with a ¼ wave whip antenna as standard and has an RS232 connection for local programming. The RS232 connection can also be used as input to an on site system ranging from a PC to a SCADA system (or similar). Each receiver also has 1 pulse and 6 analogue outputs that may be connected elsewhere or coupled to DAN’s DM01 remote data logger.

The receiver may be paired with up to 50 WTX-100 Transmitters as every packet transferred between transmitter and receiver has a unique identifier specific to that transmitter. On board LED’s allow for easy manual pairing and channel selection as well as providing ongoing performance information such as link failure. Alternatively, pairing and mapping of the receiver and outputs may be carried out by computer via the RS232 connection.

Both the WTX-100 Transmitter and WRX-100 Receiver have numerous inbuilt features enabling easy set up, input mapping, pairing and channel selection. When used in conjunction with DAN’s DM01 remote data logging unit, the system provides an economical alternative for gathering data and presenting it on your office desk.
