How do I know my data logger is secure?
Data capture is undertaken in a variety of ways and security of data is often important as it can protect competitive advantage and also because there are times when those with an intent to misinterpret the data could do so if they had wrongful access. Some conventional data loggers do not provide adequate levels of data security whereas data loggers provided by Data Acquisition Networks (DAN) provide impregnable security for several reasons.
- Data is transmitted from a field unit to a website without manual intervention
- Access to data on the website is password protected
- Administrators can limit the extent of data access to certain users by issuing a limited-privilege password
Data Acquisition Networks works hard to ensure that each and every customer’s data is truly ‘their data’ which gives users the confidence to accumulate data in the knowledge it is secure and available only to those the user agrees to authorise.
