When you need a critical process monitored you need to be sure either after an event or prior to an event that you are dealing with the facts. In the absence of data being routinely and electronically collected and then stored in a data vault, you can never be sure.
Data loggers supplied by Data Acquisition Networks routinely and continuously collect data. They ‘poll’ the inputs 19 times each second and then transmit an average, a maximum and a minimum for the duty cycle to a website where it is stored securely and cannot be altered.
Some organisations still rely upon staff to collect data. In order for that data to be infallible staff need to remember to take readings, they need to remember to record the data correctly and the user of the data needs to be certain staff have no vested interest in misrepresenting the data.
