Data Acquisition Networks (DAN) not only has an excellent understanding of the food industry from ‘paddock to plate’ but also understands how to use data loggers to provide practical solutions.
In 2003 Dan was asked to develop data loggers to monitor the opening and closure of oyster harvest areas in estuaries. Data loggers provided by DAN have been in use ever since. The benefits of monitoring estuarine water quality continuously 24/7 do not just manifest in the ability to open and close an estuary and ensure food safety. Through correlating salinity readings with ‘meat’ quality DAN has been able to increase the time during which an estuary is open for oyster harvesting by 43%.
This is just one example of where DAN has worked collaboratively with industry to the benefit of all involved.
